about us

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting minority communities in Baltimore County. The MCCCBC came together to fill the need within several minority communities to have better communication with County services and be able to integrate more easily into public life. Our activities range from organizing health fairs, education shows, voter registration, providing translation services, encouraging minority-owned economic enterprise, and helping communities access varied services like tutoring, legal aid, small business aid, tax preparation and other activities which are complicated by language barriers.

Jyoti immigrated to the US as a student pursuing a PhD. She has lived experience of being a minority but also had the privilege of being English-fluent and understands many of the challenges that come with migrating to an English dominant country. She has a finger in every pie of the MCC and loves every opportunity to serve the community!

Satish Chapagain is well known in the Baltimore Nepali community for his media skills (he is a journalist by trade) and occasional moonlighting as a lyricist in Nepali movies. But most of all he is everyone's bhai or brother- rushing to help where-ever he sees a need, and unflagging in his advocacy.
